The Medical Staff Services Department (MSSD) is a shared service and performs medical staff and credentialing functions for St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center - Phoenix and Clinics, Children's Rehabilitative Services and Children's Health Center.

The Credentials Program staff processes new applications and reapplications for SJHMC/CRS/CHC faculty as well as the local community for the Phoenix, Arizona geographical area.  The Medical and Allied Health Staff currently consists of over 1500 members with over 1200 of those members being community physicians within a variety of specialities.  The Credentials Program staff also conducts delegated credentialing for twenty healthplans.

The Medical Staff at SJHMC/CRS/CHC consists of Physicians (MD, DO), Psychologists (PhD), Podiatrists (DPM) and Dentists (DDS, DMD).  Primary source verification is conducted by Greater Arizona Central Credentialing Program (GACCP).
